Book Shop

A book shop with separate accommodation was set up in the premises of the Parishath. Publications of the Parishath and also some books of authors who seek help of the Parishath in selling their works are kept at the book shop. For other book shops, making bulk purchases, reasonable discount is allowed. In October, 2015 a Book Exhibition was conducted for one week. Discount of 20%, 30% and 50% was given on the sale of three categories of Parishath’s Publications. The sale proceeds exceeded Rs.1 lakh. This amply proves that print media still has adequate patronage.

The book shop is kept open from 10.30 am to 6.00 p.m. on all working days. A clerk will be in charge of the shop.

Reading Room

As an extension wing of the Library, the Parishath maintains a reading room for the benefit of the public and students. English, Telugu and Urdu dailies and weeklies are available in it. The reading room is kept open from 3- 00 pm to 8-00 p.m.
